With this command, only the selected inspection characteristics are marked. The user can assign numbers manually or have them generated automatically by the programme. The uniqueness of the number is guaranteed in any case.

The following inspection characteristics can be marked:

• Dimensions
• Chamfer
• Surface symbols
• Geometric tolerances

When marking, all required values are read from the SolidWorks characteristic and stored in a test step and supplemented with further data such as the characteristic number. The different types of characteristics are explained in chapter Edit Test Step.

During the marking process, the user is shown the characteristic dialogue for each test step, where he can check the values read from SolidWorks and adjust and add them if necessary. If required, the user can have the marking process carried out automatically for all further characteristics by checking the box “Don't show this dialog again and autonumber any other selected dimension”.
